Meet Our Founders
Griffin Kane, Ph.D.
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Griffin Kane is a biomedical engineer and entrepreneur focused on translating innovative nanoparticle technologies into next-generation cancer immunotherapies. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where his research focused on engineering nanoparticle-based immunotherapies and developing strategies to overcome barriers in solid tumor treatment.
As CEO of NanoVax, Griffin leads the company’s strategic direction, business development, fundraising, and translational development efforts, working to advance promising academic discoveries toward clinical application.
Prabhani Atukorale, Ph.D.
Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer
Prabhani Atukorale is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research focuses on the development of advanced nanomaterials and nanoparticle-based technologies for immunotherapy and drug delivery.
She received her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed postdoctoral training at Case Western Reserve University. Her research has helped establish the scientific foundation of NanoVax’s proprietary nanoparticle immunotherapy platform.
